A Maycomb County Snowman

I chose to draw the snowman from To Kill A Mockingbird.

Jem comes up with the idea to make the snowman, even though they don’t have that much snow to work with. He decides to use mud. They pile up the mud and start to make a snowman that is half mud, half snow. Scout says, "I have never seen a black snowman in my life.”

I had never thought about a snowman having a race until Scout made that comment. The snowman I drew is half mud and half snow representing equality.
